Your Hosts:
Gerhard & Karin Krebs, Founders of HorseDream International Susan Wilson, Founder of HorseDream Canada and HorseDream World Tours This tour is for you if you have a spirit for adventure and a yearning to learn - about self, about culture, about our world and how we interact with others. It’s made for the person who is eager to learn and experience new spaces and places, in a new way. You might be a corporate leader, a retired professional, an entrepreneur or a horse lover. Perhaps you are an individual who spends a lot of time thinking about this world and how we live in it, and are ready to experience a new way of learning about culture and human interaction. Whatever your background and interests, our itinerary will provide you with an experience that will surprise and enlighten you. Through our affiliation with HorseDream Licensed Partners around the world, we can provide you with an experience that ensures a cultural experience and sightseeing tour integrated in a unique way with equine assisted learning and horseback experiences beyond your expectations.
You will spend 14 days in a unique learning environment that incorporates experiencing the sights in Germany when nature is putting on a show with colourful fall foliage. The tour will be integrated with professional training seminars that speak directly to the management of people and business relationships. It will include direct application of the teachings while immersing yourself in the German culture through meals, activities, interactions, and conversations. HorseDream’s approach for training and development is to utilize horses to build upon your leadership skills. Training seminars are based on equine assisted learning, where you will be working directly with specially trained horses. Participants receive direct feedback from the horse's behaviours on how they are performing as leaders. The horse will only accept a leader that it trusts. The horse will react to you exactly as you present yourself, reflecting your leadership style, how it's perceived and received. See Our Clients & Testimonials and Our International Reputation "What makes Horse Assisted Education (HAE) different is that it develops your self-awareness. Horses don’t talk. I can make it possible to understand how my thoughts and attitudes affect my coworkers. It’s very difficult to realize that on your own, and hard to find anyone that will tell you how they felt when interacting with you. That’s why I think this training is one of a kind and irreplaceable.
The most valuable thing about learning with horses is that it stays in your memory whereas the effects of traditional training wear off with time. HAE is unforgettable. My colleagues and I often come back to the horse education experience and it still inspires us. I think no other experience sticks with you this way. The training clearly showed me how my non-verbalized inner attitude influenced the horse and it reacted to it. Thanks to it I understand better how others react to me in my professional and private life. People who hear about horses think about just fun and entertaining, nowadays leadership skills are high on the demand for directors and everyone knows that a good manager works with their heart and soul. HAE is a scientific method that facilitates the gaining of those skills and is not just “fun”. The training with horses has helped my team become more aware and has helped us to where we are today." - Tomasz Buras DHL President
Why horses as facilitators?
Horses are a very ‘present’ being. Horses pay attention to what is happening to themselves and others in the moment, providing you with direct and immediate feedback. The horse will react to you exactly as you present yourself, reflecting your leadership style, how it's perceived and received. This is a very effective exercise for business professionals looking to improve their "non-verbal" communication skills, a critical skill when leading a team and/or when doing business internationally across different cultures. No riding experience is required and at no time is anyone “required” to mount a horse. The tour does include one scheduled horseback riding experience for those comfortable with riding. |
