It is true that there is room for strategy and planning within the confines of a business. But there is also room for heart, and that comes forward when we accept the present moment we are in and the work we do together.
Our true vocation in life, as Parker Palmer so aptly put it, is not answering a calling “out there” that demands we be something we are not. It is from our inner voice, calling us to be the person we were born to be.
Similar to leading others in the workplace, if you are not consistent in your relationship with a horse, it will not follow you or respect you. It will ignore you, knowing that it is stronger than you are.
